The medical school dropout accused of unleashing a deadly hail of gunfire at a Colorado movie theater has roots in Southern California. Twenty-four-year-old James Holmes lived in the San Diego area before moving to the Aurora, Colorado, region. ABC News reports that he dropped out of the University of Colorado Denver Medical Campus in June. A police spokesman says Holmes attended high school in California. He's suspected of killing at least a dozen people at a late night screening of the movie "Batman" at an Aurora theater. Scores more people were injured.
