Federal authorities have arrested two men who allegedly stole a gold bar from a Key West museum in back in August of 2010.
The men, identified as 32-year-old Jarred Alexander Goldman of Palm Beach Gardens and 41-year-old Richard Steven Johnson of Rio Linda, California, were arrested Monday after an investigation revealed they stole the 17-century gold bar from the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum.
According to CBS both Goldman and Johnson drove down to the Keywest musem on August 11th where Goldman allegedly stood guard while Johnson removed the display case and took the item before leaving the museum and driving back to West Palm Beach.
The bar has not been found, however, Johnson was still set to appear in court in California on Monday while Goldman is scheduled to appear before a judge in Key West on January 30th.
