Two Dead in Domestic Shooting at Central Michigan University

The campus of Central Michigan University is on lockdown after two people were shot and killed in what appears to be a domestic incident.

CMU police say the two people killed were not students and the shooting appears to be a domestic situation.

Police identified the shooter as 19-year-old James Eric Davis junior.

The university is advising everyone to take shelter after shots were fired this morning at Campbell Hall.

The shots reportedly came from the fourth floor of the residence hall shortly after 9:00 a.m.

Police say the suspect is a black male and is considered armed and dangerous. Michigan State police are tracking the suspect with K-9’s.

It’s not known if he’s still on campus. Classes have been canceled for the day.
